Clinical Services
The Mental Health Professionals at Long Island Behavioral Medicine have extensive experience in the Evaluation and Treatment of a wide range of psychiatric problems. The psychiatrists at LIBM can provide evaluations, medication management and coordination of care with other medical or mental health professionals. In addition, they can offer combined medication management and psychotherapy services for a patient who may prefer comprehensive care from one psychiatrist. In addition, the psychiatrists conduct consultations for patients who have an interest in TMS Therapy or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, a novel medical treatment that uses the technology of electromagnets to stimulate the brain to treat depression in patients who are not having an adequate response to medications or combined treatment with medications and psychotherapy. For more information about TMS Therapy Click Here.
The Psychotherapists provide evaluations, individual, couple and family therapy sessions. When there is sufficient interest and need, the psychotherapists at LIBM may conduct group therapy sessions for patients with similar difficulties (e.g. Eating Disorders, PTSD, OCD).
